Body

This 8 week course is for mums with babies aged  6 weeks +, but not yet crawling. It is a safe and fun way to start exercising again after your life & body-changing event.

 

We will start with Pilates based core work (especially pelvic floor) to develop body awareness, build strength and practise correct posture for all future exercises and daily living. Exercises will gradually progress to full body  functional movements designed to build strength and increase cardiovascular fitness.

Our Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Meagan Kelly, will attend the first session to explain and test for abdominal muscle separation and to answer related questions.

 

Exercises will be low impact and easily tailored to suit individual needs.   We will use body weight, baby weight, light weights and Therabands.                                                                                         Exercise is an excellent way to reduce stress and release happy endorphins.              

     Gentle exercises will help you have a faster post-natal recovery. 

So come and have some multi-tasking fun with other new mothers – play time for baby and work-out time for you!
